Santa Cleared For Takeoff

by Gad on December 22, 2009

The FAA issued a press-release today clearing the chubby pilot and his crew for the grueling annual night-long operation. Advanced NextGen avionics will help glide Santa’s Sleigh (registration ‘N0EL’) through millions of precision RNP (Required Navigation Performance) roof-top landings. No word on whether the Reindeer Propulsion System (RPS) will run on renewable fuels, but according to the press-release:

Rudolph’s bright red nose and the sleigh’s warning and decorative lights are all powered by energy-saving LEDs

You can follow Santa on Norad’s special Christmas mission website. Here’s last year’s track.

Happy Holidays from all of us at FlyMiwok!
